An aerial view of Guerneville, taken during flooding on the Russian River which runs through the town. The date on the photograph was not specified, but more than likely it taken during the floods of 1986. After this picture was taken, a new concrete bridge was built across the river next to the old steel truss bridge. View is to the east. The Woods Resort, being that it is north of town 5 minutes, has always been spared the flooding. Carl remembers we taking a rowboat into town!

 This is the way the former Woods property looks today! Armstrong Woods Road runs the length of the photo , near the bottom. To the left is going into Guerneville.
